Hello and thank you for visiting my web site! My name is Aleksandra Chernova but I also go by Sasha, which is an informal and traditional nickname for Aleksandra. Originally, I was born in a small and old town in Russia along the Volga River and migrated here when I was still little.
My interest in fashion and costumes began when I was very young and my mother would always make new and custom outfits for my Barbie dolls. I began attending anime, comic book, and sci-fi conventions in 2000 and started making costumes when I was 16.
After graduating high school in 2005, I had a 2 week vacation before starting my first day of college. I attended the International Academy of Design & Technology and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design & Merchandising. During my sophomore year, I started working for Universal Studios Orlando as a Fabrication Specialist where I stitched and created many various costumes and pieces for both parks and special events such as Halloween Horror Nights, Mardi Gras, and Grinchmas.
During my senior year of college, I was a featured designer and had my own runway segment in the annual school fashion show– IMAGINE 2009: Carnaval Du Couture, where I showcased my carnival themed creations. This is also the year when I completed my Internship with Abyssmal Entertainment, where I had the chance to be a Costume Designer for the multi-award winning short film “2:22“. For more information on my film credits, please be sure to check out my IMDB page.
In addition to my current job as a Fabrication Specialist with Universal Studios, I am also a freelance Costume Designer and Stylist who loves the fashion, film, theater, and entertainment industry. I am always looking for new costume and fashion challenges to tackle and love to meet new people.
